Welcome to our site -
Liberation of Brother & Sister Animals
[Lobsa].
Everyone is welcome.
Lobsa a
non-profit international Buddhist animal rights &
vegan group. We believe in total abolition of non-human animal
exploitation.
Lobsa was established on late 2006. We
shortened our name Feb 2008. We became a not for profit
company ACN 126 255 598 on June 28, 2007 and we have
no particular affiliation with any Buddhist
organisation.
HH the 12th Gyalwang Drukpa and Jetsunma Tenzin
Palmo have kindly accepted our invitation to be Patrons of our
group.
Lobsa is basically run by
two directors and four non humans :). It is unpaid work.
We have very
limited financial and time resources.
Please note this site is often updated. If you discover any
broken links etc and we ask if you could please advise us. Please note we
do not necessarily endorse the content and opinions of articles or

There may be references to QGAR (Queensland Group
for Animal Rights) on our site but finalised QGAR as a group Feb
08 and we now only function as LOBSA. Lobsa is based in Australia. Our focus is international animal
rights activism & the promotion of veganism.
Lobsa would like to urge everyone to subscribe to our Lobsa online news

the change we wish to see" . Please view our video on vegan values
Lobsa's main goal is to assist in the
abolition of animal use in medical research, product testing, circuses,
rodeos and other forms of entertainment. We are uncompromisingly opposed
to the so-called sport of hunting and the wearing of animal skin, mainly
fur, but also including leather, wool, down, etc. Plus, Lobsa supports the
eventual phasing-out of animals for food consumption. Moreover, Lobsa is
an unwavering supporter of human rights, and we are seeking an end to
discrimination of all kinds. With your help, through non-violent action,
we can end the unnecessary bloodshed, malicious treatment and injustices
that all sentient beings endure. [ thanks to ADAPTT for description and thanks to RPA (Responsible
Policies for Animals) for the kind permission to use their quote in our
logo) ]
Liberation of Brother & Sister
Animals corresponds and seeks advice and resources from Australian and international animal rights
groups.
We involve ourselves in a variety
of campaigns to address legal and institutional issues. We try to work
constructively with various Parliamentary and Departmental offices
wherever possible with our informal group.
Lobsa also participates in many international and domestic
animal rights campaigns and belongs to many online animal rights action
groups.
We believe all beings are
interconnected, we are all equal, we all possess Buddha nature and hence
we should all act accordingly to protect all sentient beings from
suffering and protect the environment. |
